The prize aims to promote dialog between science and practice and honors outstanding research that deepens our understanding of how development happens, succeeds or can be promoted. Förderpreis
The Development Economics Committee of the Verein für Socialpolitik awards the prize for practice-oriented development research in close cooperation with KfW Entwicklungsbank.
The award committee consists of

- Prof. Dr. Javier Revilla Diez (University of Cologne),
- Prof. Dr. Ulrike Grote (University of Hanover) and KfW Development Bank.
