Arrival by train

Hannover's main train station can be reached from many European cities. Be sure to book in advance to take advantage of early booking discounts. We encourage arrival by climate-friendly train if it is possible for you.

Arrival via plane

Hannover airport (HAJ) is served by several major airlines, but may not have cheap direct flights. Other common airports of arrival are Berlin (BER), Bremen (BRE), Hamburg (HAM) or Frankfurt (FRA). From there, you can reach Hannover main train station on an ICE train within two hours.

Local public transit

The tram station is "Leibniz Universität", reachable within 15 minutes from Hannover's main train station "Hannover Hauptbahnhof" using the tram: walk to station "Kröpcke", take lines 4 or 5 direction "Garbsen"/"Stöcken".
